Jennifer Love Hewitt will reprise her role from the telemovie of the same name, as a single mother/erotic masseuse in a TV series spin-off. The 10-episode series is “about a Texas housewife (Hewitt) who, after being deserted by her husband, takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa in a neighboring town but realizes that the parlor offers way more than massages and ends up partnering with the parlor’s feisty and disorganized owner to run the business. The series will follow her as she balances two starkly different lives — one as a single mom in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family and the other as a savvy and ambitious businesswoman working with a rowdy, sexy and unpredictable group of women.” (More…)
Valentine
“X-Men : First Class” scene-stealer Kevin Bacon will star in a new half-hour comedy for HBO. The show “centers on Johnny Valentine, the role that would be played by Bacon. With three ex wives and his glory days behind him, Johnny Valentine is the new voice of talk radio. He’s not on the left, the right, or the middle, he’s on the bottom.” (More…)

Lopez Tonight
George Lopez’s TBS talk show has been canceled. “TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight,” a spokesperson added. “We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.” Apparently “Conan” is also struggling in the ratings… might it be next?
