Two new Mad Max movies on the way

Why is “Mad Max : Fury Road” taking so bloody long to get going?!

And why did Teresa ‘I was never officially onboard in the first place’ Palmer drop out of the film?

Oh, and why is star Tom Hardy (Max) telling reporters that the film is going to take nearly a year to film!? Certainly seems a long time to be shooting a flick – how many times is James McTeague planning to reshoot it!!?

Three questions that can be answered with two words : Two. Movies.

Twitchfilm has discovered that director George Miller is actually prepping two new “Mad Max” movies – which, as indicated by the lengthy shoot, will be shot back-to-back.

The first, as we know, is called “Fury Road” (and contrary to earlier reports, will not be a sequel to “Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome”; in fact, it’s more or less a ‘reboot’ of the series) and the second, says the aforementioned site, is “Mad Max : Furiosa”.

Palmer was indeed onboard the film, and had returned to Australia just before Christmas to prep. But I’m assuming what happened was, Miller decided to make two movies (from the one story? not sure) and as a consequence, Palmer was forced to drop out.

I don’t really care how many “Mad Max” movies are on the way, so long as at least one of them as good. Gotta say, damn shame Mel Gibson isn’t back though.

In addition to Hardy, the film/s will star Charlize Theron, Zoe Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens, Nicholas Hoult and (if frockwriter is correct) Gemma Ward.
