Another “Star Trek” star joins the hit series
Is “Heroes” trying to suck up to the Trekkies, or what?
Hot on the heels of George Takei’s guest role on the series (and, of course, “Heroes” star Zachary Quinto winning the role of Mr. Spock in the new “Star Trek” movie) comes news that Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) has agreed to do a turn on the hit series.
The actress will be playing Nana, the New Orleans-based grandmother of Monica (the new hero being played by The Nine’s Dana Davis), says TV Guide.
Its only a matter of time before Bill Shatner agrees to cameo as a starship captain who can magically transform into T.J Hooker, a beat cop, on weekends.
