Stoker
Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth are lining up for Chan Wook Park’s “Stoker”. Mia Wasikowska will play the lead role of India Stoker in the film. Penned by actor Wentworth Miller (“Prison Break”), “Stoker” tells of a girl and her mother who are visited by a mysterious uncle after the girl’s father dies. Kidman would play the mother and Firth the uncle[The L.A Times]

Innocence
Abigail Breslin (“Little Miss Sunshine”) will star in the Gothic vampire pic with Julianne Moore. Breslin plays a teenager who unbeknown to her is attending a school full of vampires that plan to capture her and use her as a virgin sacrifice. [Bloody Disgusting]

Night of the Living Dead 3D : Resurrection
Veteran villain Andrew Divoff (“Wishmaster”, TVs “Lost”) will star in the sequel to 2006’s “Night of the Living Dead 3D”. The film tells of Gerald Tovar, Jr a man who inherits the family mortuary and accidentally lets hundreds of uncremated bodies become exposed to toxic medical waste. As the corpses re-animate, Harold Tovar, the mortician’s inheritance-seeking younger brother expectantly shows up, stumbling upon a full outbreak of the walking dead. [What’s Playing]

The Last Voyage of the Demeter
David Slade is returning to vampire terrain. The “Eclipse” helmer looks set to direct Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace in “The Last Voyage of the Demeter”. Demeter was the name of the ship that transported Dracula from Transylvania to London in Bram Stoker’s classic tale. In that novel, it washes up on the shores of England, tattered and broken, with one raving mad survivor. Bloody Disgusting

Akira
James Franco (“127 Hours”) is reportedly being courted to star in the film adaptation of the Manga classic “Akira”, which Leonardo Di Caprio’s company is producing. Allen and Albert Hughes (“From Hell”) will direct the Warner Bros project. [Just Jared]

Monster Love
Joe Dante (“Gremlins”) will direct “Monster Love”, the story of a vampire and a werewolf that fall in love. “I’ve never done a vampire movie, so this combination is going to be fun”, says Dante[Fangoria]

Shiver
Finally, Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on John Jarratt’s first big Hollywood effort, “Shiver”. The film pits “Halloween” veteran Danielle Harris against Jarratt (“Wolf Creek”), playing – not surprisingly – a killer.
