Christopher Landon, director of the “Happy Death Day” movies, will be directing a yet-untitled body-swapping thriller for Blumhouse. Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton are in talks to star in the flick.
The film follows a teenager (Newton) who, after swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer (Vaughn), discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.
Landon co-wrote the script with Michael Kennedy. Jason Blum will produce the pic.
Newton recently starred in the TV series “Big Little Lies” and flick “Detective Pikachu”, and Vaughn has recently swapped his well-known comedy films for more serious roles such as in “Dragged Across Concrete” and “Fighting with My Family”.
