What’s Playing is reporting that Paramount Pictures Australia has penciled in Stuart Beattie’s directorial debut, “Tomorrow : When the War Began” for a September 2nd release. International dates are likely to soon follow.

In addition, it’s reported that a teaser trailer and poster should be online around Easter.

The film, written and directed by Beattie (“Collateral”) and starring Rachel Hurd-Wood (“Peter Pan”), is currently in post-production in Sydney.

Based on the book by John Marsden, “Tomorrow : When the War Begun” tells of a group of highschoolers who band together to fight off invading forces.
