War of the Worlds TV series in the works!

A new TV series based on H.G Wells classic “War of the Worlds” is in the works at MTV, says THR.

In-house fave Jeff Davis, creator of the network’s “Teen Wolf”, will reunite with Andrew Cochran on the reboot.

First published in 1897, “War of the Worlds” was most recently made into a 2005 feature film starring Tom Cruise and directed by Steven Spielberg.

The Firm’s Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry (whose daughter Gene Barry starred in the 1953 film version) are spearheading the project.
