Warner Bros finds their Kevin Feige in Dan Lin

“It” producer looks to help reshape the struggling DC Films division

Sherlock Holmes and It producer looks to become Warner Bros’ answer to Kevin Feige as David Zaslav and the new brass at Warner Bros Discovery zero in on the prolific producer to head up their DC films division.

One of Lin’s earlier jobs was hatching George Miller’s ill-fated Justice League film. Cancelled shortly before production, the Sydney-based production would’ve starred Australia’s Megan Gale as Wonder Woman and “The OC” actor Adam Brody as The Flash. Due to spiraling budget costs and tax issues, it was axed. Rumor has it that one of Lin’s first tasks at the newly-revamped DC Films unit is getting a new Justice League movie off the ground.

New Line/Warner Bros

Per Deadline, Lin -who cut his teeth at Warner Bros under former Worldwide Production President Lorenzo di Bonaventura – isn’t the only contender, with Joker’s Todd Phillips also considered (but too busy to consider such a position), but is in pole position to take the gig.
