20th Century Fox is turning Boom! Studios’ critically acclaimed comic “Lumberjanes” into a film, and the studio has tapped Will Widger to write the script for the live-action adaptation.
The comic, which was created by the female trio of Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis and Noelle Stevenson with Brooke A. Allen’s illustrations, centres on a group of girls spending the summer at a scout camp, where they encounter strange supernatural phenomena.
Ross Richie and Stephen Christy of Boom! Studios will produce the film with co-producer Adam Yoelin.
