“SEBERG” tells the true story of French New Wave darling and iconic Breathless star, Jean Seberg (Kristen Stewart), who in the late 1960’s was targeted by J.Edgar Hoover’s illegal surveillance program COINTELPRO, a covert FBI operation aimed at disrupting political organizations. Seberg’s political and romantic involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal (Anthony Mackie) has made her a target of the FBI’s ruthless attempts to disrupt, discredit and expose the Black Power movement. Ambitious young FBI agent and surveillance specialist, Jack Solomon (Jack O’Connell) joins the L.A. field office and, along with his partner, (Vince Vaughn), becomes her shadow, maintaining round-the-clock surveillance. As Jack becomes drawn in by Jean’s luminous presence, his loyalty to the FBI and his young wife (Margaret Qualley) is tested as he finds her fate dangerously interwoven with his own.
