Director Christopher McQuarrie has again used his Instagram to announce a new cast member to upcoming films “Mission: Impossible 7” and “8”.
The “X-Men” and “Tolkien” star Nicholas Hoult also used the platform to ‘accept’ his mission from McQuarrie, confirming his appearance in both the sequels.
Tom Cruise will be returning to the films as the protagonist Ethan Hunt, in both movies which will film back-to-back. Hoult joins newcomers to the franchise Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff and Shea Whigham. Returning is Rebecca Ferguson as Isla Faust from “Rogue Nation” and “Fallout”, while it’s also expected that Simon Pegg will return as Benji Dunn – but this is yet to be confirmed.
No word yet on plot details, but we’re all holding our breath with anticipation! “Mission: Impossible 7” will be released on July 23, 2021, with “Mission: Impossible 8” coming out August 5, 2022.
