Zachary Levi on rumors he’s been fired as Shazam!

Plus who MIGHT be out of the new DCEU?

Warner Bros

Hot on the heels of today’s announcement, via Dwayne Johnson himself, that Black Adam won’t be a part of DC Film’s immediate future (but could return down the line), internet insiders have been quick to report who might be next to be pink slipped from James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plans at the studio.

Zachary Levi, responding to a reader’s tweet, essentially confirms he’ll be staying on as Shazam. The former Chuck star said, “Oooh, I really wouldn’t go believing everything you see on the internet. I’m Gucci, Ash. We all Gucci.”

Meantime, it’s not good news for Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill (well, we knew that), Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller whose roles will be recast per MyTimeToShineHello. The oft-reliable insider also reports that Momoa, while he won’t play Aquaman in the new DCEU, will be cast in a different role. Further, Viola Davis and most of the cast of The Suicide Squad will stick around.

Interestingly, the same scooper says Zachary Levi is “done” as Shazam! – but considering Levi’s response above, seems they might be mistaken.

In January, Gunn and Safran will announce their first few films as the new guardians of the DCEU.
