That Snow White & The Huntsman guy shoots for Asteroids

“Snow White & The Huntsman” scribe Evan Spiliotopoulos, a man only a few short months ago from having an inbox full of messages from Kristen Stewart devotees, has been tapped to write the feature take on cobwebbed video-game “Asteroids”.

The plotline for the film, based on the ’70s Atari game, “has evolved into the story of two estranged brothers that must team up to save Earth from an alien race” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Matt Lopez (“The Sorcerers Apprentice”) had previously worked his magic on a draft of the script. Producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura (“Transformers”) and David Foster (“The River Wild”) obviously didn’t think it was magical enough though.

In addition to “Asteroids”, Spiliotopoulos is writing “Charles Fort” for producer Bob Zemeckis (“Back to the Future”); the ‘Pandora’s Box’ themed “The Box” for Southpaw Entertainment; and Timur Bekmambetov’s “Moby Dick”.
