“Mad Men” and “Sherlock Holmes : Game of Shadows” star Jared Harris has joined the cast of “Pompei”, Paul W.S Anderson’s 3D action-adventure that stars Emily Browning and Kit Harrington.
Deadline says “Harris will play Lucretius, a wealthy merchant whose daughter Flavia (Browning) is imperiled as Mount Vesuvius erupts and slave-turned-gladiator Milo (Harington) races to save her.”
Anderson (“The Three Muskeeters”) was set to shoot last Spring, but the film was pushed back. It’s now in production in Pompeii, Italy, before moving to Toronto at the end of March.
The film was written by – no less than four (!) – Janet Scott Batchler & Lee Batchler, Michael Robert Johnson, and Julian Fellowes.
