A story that belongs in 2006 : Ant-Man begins pre-production

Yup, Comic-Con 2006, that’s when Stax (from ‘IGN’) and I sat in on a panel with Edgar Wright, in which all matter of “Ant-Man” details were discussed.

Wright’s feature adaptation of the Marvel comic was going to take it’s time, he told us so at the panel, but never did we expect to be sitting here seven years later… still awaiting that official start date.

Having said that, we at least have one now – or Wright does. The filmmaker tweeted the following picture, signifying the start of pre-production on the long-gestating superhero blockbuster.

No word on casting yet, but Wright assured me recently that his usual go-to guy Simon Pegg won’t be wearing the tights.

Nick Frost then?

“Ant-Man” is in theaters July 31, 2015.
