From a powerful fire to some steamy, new romances, it would appear that things at “Downton Abbey” are about to heat up.
A new minute-long trailer has been released for the show’s upcoming fifth season which will premiere in the UK on September 21.
The trailer gives little away but would suggest that Lady Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery) has her eye on Lord Gillingham (Tom Cullen) while Branson (Allen Leech) has a new love interest of his own. Meanwhile, the Countess of Grantham (Elizabeth McGovern) seems to bonding with newcomer, Simon Bricker (Richard E. Grant).
As Mrs Hughes (Phyllis Logan) puts it, “Downton is catching up with the times that we live in”.
