AFM : Check Point teaser to bow

The first teaser trailer for “Check Point” starring a who’s who of the action genre, including Bill Goldberg, Fred Williamson, Kane Hodder, Tyler Mane and William Forsythe, will premiere at AFM. Kick-off day is November 5, with a 10am screening.

In addition, a 45-minute Q&A session will follow, which will include actors, writers, and producers from the Thomas J.Churchill written-directed film.

“The trailer will give everyone a glimpse into what is in store for them from the combined talents of each individual involved in every aspect of this film.”

Here’s the synopsis : Wilmington, North Carolina: a terrorist “sleeper cell” disrupts this tight-knight community, throwing their “Norman Rockwell” life style into chaos and fear. An ex-Marine turned vagrant suspects something is wrong, but no one believes him. Justice seems lost when this insurgent attack threatens to escalate into a full-blown US invasion. A team of unlikely heroes must band together, rise up to fight the enemy and protect their country. It is a story about heroism and unity, perseverance and selflessness.
Directed by Thomas J. Churchill, he weaves an extraordinary ensemble cast in a seamless action thriller based on actual events from FBI agents and Homeland Security investigations of terrorists’ sympathizers. Check Point is now in post-production due to be completed in early January, with a Domestic theatrical release planned for Memorial Day weekend, May 2016.
