American Pie sequel recruits X-Men alum


Variety is reporting that ”X-Men: The Last Stand” star Dania Ramirez has joined the cast of ”American Reunion”.

In the film (the fourth in the ‘theatrically-released’ “American Pie” film series), Ramirez will play Trisha, the ugly duckling nobody noticed in high school who has since grown into a beautiful swan, much to Finch’s (Eddie Kay Thomas) delight.

What’s Playing recently ran some spoilers about the script; among the details spilt, details on the character of Trisha.

Trisha use to go to bandcamp with Michelle. She’s now a smokin’ hotie bartender – one whom ‘international traveler’ Finch will score with (Though Stifler’s Mom will also make a reappearance).

Returning cast members include the original cast with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth. ”30 Rock”’s Katrina Bowden has also joined the comedy franchise as Klein’s hard-partying girlfriend.

Ramirez, who once starred on NBC’s ”Heroes” as Maya, now has a recurring role on HBO’s ”Entourage” and will next star in the January release of David Koepp’s thriller ”Premium Rush” opposite Joseph Gordon Levitt
