Amy Adams has become attached to star in and exec produce “Sharp Objects”, a potential new TV drama series which adapts “Gone Girl” author Gillian Flynn’s debut novel.
From showrunner and writer Marti Noxon, “Sharp Objects” has “Dallas Buyers Club” helmer Jean-Marc Vallée on board to direct.
According to Variety, ““Sharp Objects” follows a reporter (played by Adams) who has to cover the murder of two preteen girls in her hometown following a brief stint in a psych hospital.”
Jason Blum and Charles Layton are also exec producers.
