Amy Poehler is in negotiations to star in New Line’s comedy “The House” opposite her “Blades of Glory” co-star Will Ferrell.
Poehler would play the wife of Ferrell’s character, who joins with his neighbors to start an illegal casino in his basement after he and his wife blow their daughter’s college fund.
Andrew J. Cohen will make his directorial debut on the project, helming from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien.
Producers are Ferrell and Adam McKay of Gary Sanchez Productions with Good Universe and O’Brien. Exec producers are Chris Henchy and Jessica Elbaum.
