So nice to see Susan Sarandon still being offered worthwhile roles. In everything she does, be it “Thelma & Louise” or “Rocky Horror”, Sarandon does such a fantastic job. The actress, who you “Bull Durham” fans will know has a gift for comedy too, is bound to be hilarious in this latest role.
THR reports that Sarandon is in talks to play the role of a sexy teacher who ends up playing mother to Andy Samberg in Columbia Pictures ”I Hate You, Dad”.
In the film, a father (Adam Sandler) moves into the home of his son (Samberg) and promptly begins feuding with the bride-to-be on the eve of their wedding.
Filming begins this summer in Boston with a cast that includes Leighton Meester as Samberg’s fiancée, Ian Ziering as a booze- and blow-addicted – version of himself and Vanilla Ice playing himself.
Columbia is also in talks for a slew of actors to join the cast, including James Caan, Will Forte and Milo Ventimiglia, as well as Sarandon’s real-life daughter Eva Amurri (”Californication”),Blake Clark, Meagan Fay (”Party Down”), Tony Orlando and Dan Patrick.
”I Hate You, Dad” will be directed by Sean Anders, John Morris and will be released on June 15, 2012.
