Another ’90s TV Hit returning!

Hot on the heels of the recently-announced “X-Files” return, another popularTV venture from the ’90s is making a comeback.

The sitcom “Coach”, which starred Craig T.Nelson as football coach Hayden Fox, and ran from 1989 to 1997, is getting a sequel series, too.

Nelson will be back for the new “Coach”, this time coming out of of retirement to serve as assistant coach to his now grown son at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania, according to TV Line.

Nelson, hot off his acclaimed turn on NBC’s “Parenthood”, would also executive produce the new series. Barry Kemp, who created the original series, will be back to write and executive produce “Coach” 2.0.

No word on when the new series will go into production or air.
