Another film inspired by Facebook in the works…

Paramount has snagged “Status Update,” a comedy about the quandary of attending high school in the age of Facebook, hence the title.

According to Deadline, the story was pitched by Sascha Rothchild and Randi Barnes with Josh Swartz and Stephanie Savage to produce.

I’m sure there will be the cool kids that have 12,000 friends, the ones that just post their facebook game scores and of course the crazy drama that can come from status updates made under emotional duress. With a decent script, this could be hilarious!
