Aussie actor in talks for Stephen King's latest

You’d think after the "Salem’s Lot" retool, that was filmed here – which Rebecca Gibney’s used liquid paper to delete from her CV – most Aussie actors would rather lick head-lice from a comb than work on a Stephen King production again? Seems not.

Rising newcomer Bert LaBonte, last seen in the play "The Inner Sanctum" and also the co-star of "Evil Never Dies" starring Thomas Gibson and Katherine Heigl, has been approached to play Otis Reddding in the King TV movie "Nightmares and Dreamscapes", set to film soon at the Docklands Studios in Melbourne, says The Sunday Herald Sun.

There will be eight one-hour episodes of the series, based on the short stories of horror-meister Stephen King. It’s believed that a big-name U.S actor will star, with Aussie actors filling up the support cast.
