Brad Pitt’s Plan B has teamed with Warner Bros Pictues to adapt Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff’s young adult sci-fi novel “Illuminae”, says Heat Vision.
The book, which just hit shelves in October, is told through a dossier of found documents, texts, instant messages, ship schematics, casualty lists and classified files; it tells of a teenage hacker and her fighter pilot ex-boyfriend, struggling with their broken relationship while they unearth a conspiracy surrounding an intergalactic war that has them dealing with an enemy race, rogue artificial intelligence and a deadly virus.
Kaufman and Kristoff are both based in Australia.
