Award Worthy Snitch movie? Piece of Peirce!

Future Oscar Winner Kimberly Peirce, helmer of the heart-wrenching dramas “Boy’s Don’t Cry” and “Stop-Loss”, has been tapped to direct “The Knife”, the true story of a South Central gang member who became a paid FBI informant. The snitch ruffled so many feathers that gang leaders ultimately issued a ‘kill all snitches’ rule.

The film is based on a GQ Magazine article called ”The Inside Man”, the story of a crook who, sick to death of all the senseless violence and criminal behaviour he’s encountered and partaken in over the years, walked into the FBI bureau and volunteered to be a snitch.

Peirce and writer Vineet Dewan were able to convince Universal to bankroll the project by penning a 60-page treatment and consequently, graphic novel, to be used as part of their pitch.

Dawson Leery, you’re such a Bitch!

Hopefully Michel Gondry has a good grasp on Dick
