Starring with a Mean Girl in “Time Traveller’s Wife”
The old ‘Hulk’, Eric Bana – he inherits the title from Lou Ferrigno – is set to star smash-out for New Line’s “The Time Travellers Wife”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rachel McAdams is already set to play the female lead – the wife, if you will, of said time traveller.
Based on the Audrey Niffenegger novel and being directed by Robert Schwentke, the film is more a love story than a fantasy, and tells the story of a dashing librarian (Bana) at Chicago’s Newberry Library who has a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel forward and backward. During one of his episodes, he falls in love with a woman (McAdams), but the problem is that while the man’s age darts back and forth depending on his location in time, the woman’s progresses in a normal manner; thus, the two are often out of sync.
Bana and McAdams start smooching from September.
