Ben Stiller Will Rentaghost

Well, guess we can all be glad it’s not another “Little Focker part 2” because “Little Fockers” alone was a trainwreck. Yeesh!

Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox has acquired rights to the supernatural British comedy show “Rentaghost”, and has re-teamed Ben Stiller with his “Night At The Museum” writers Tom Lennon and Robert Ben Garant.

The comedy will be based on the British TV kid series that ran on BBC1 from 1976-84. The original show involved a supernatural firm called Rentaghost, which rented out spirits for a variety of tasks. In the take that Lennon and Garant will write, the idea is for Stiller to play an American turnaround consultant who is sent to the UK to reinvigorate a failing company.

If Stiller is re-teaming with his “Night at the Museum” writers and they make “Rentaghost” a hit, this movie should do just fine.

Stiller will next be seen in the November 14 release of “Tower Heist” and is currently filming “Neighborhood Watch” opposite Jonah Hill and Vince Vaughn. In “Watch”, suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group get time away from their families, only to discover a conspiracy.
