Berg gets a crack at G.I Joe

Aaron Berg, the writer whose spec script “Section 6” had Bond producers threatening to obliterate Universal if they made it (since it’s apparently so close in tone to a 007 movie; it’s going ahead after a script rewrite), has been hired to write Paramount’s next “G.I Joe” movie.

“Disturbia” director D.J Caruso is directing the second sequel, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura returning as producer. No cast have been announced at this time, though all indications suggest that The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis will be back, reprising their roles from “G.I Joe : Retaliation”.

Prior to “Section 6”, Berg was best known as a comedian – hence the picture I’ve used above.
