Black Witch

Based on an idea by Moviehole pal, Stolberg

Jack Black will play the “Man-Witch” in a new Todd Phillips (“Old School”) directed comedy that’s set up at Warner Bros.

According to Variety, the film features Black as a schoolteacher who suddenly discovers he has witchlike abilities. Taken in by a coven, he is persuaded to attend a school for witches, only to discover that his classmates are all girls.

My buddy Josh Stolberg (“Kids in America”, “Piranha”) is actually responsible for the idea. He and Bob Florsheim are the brains behind the tender. Jay Reiss is penning the script.

According to the trade Phillips is still developing his “Old School” sequel – I assume, with or without the reluctant Will Ferrell.
