The tweenager inside me is rejoicing today as Deadline reports NBC is developing a TV adaptation of 2002 surf movie “Blue Crush”.
The network has given a script commitment with penalty to a series based on the John Stockwell-directed film, which starred Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez and Sanoe Lake.
Lizzy Weiss, who co-wrote the original film with Stockwell, is writing the series and will exec produce with Brian Grazer (who produced the movie) and Francie Calfo.
