Blue Thunder crashes again!

A remake of ’80s choppa classic “Blue Thunder” is in the works, according to THR.

Dana Brunetti (“Fifty Shades of Grey”) will produce the new film, which is being written by Marvel alum Craig Kyle.

As opposed to an experimental helicopter – which Roy Scheider and Daniel Stern attempted to get control of in the 1983 original – the remake will feature on a drone.

“Blue Thunder” 2.0 isn’t the only franchise follow-up to utilize the topical element of military drones, Paramount’s forthcoming “Top Gun” sequel is also said to be figuring drones into it’s storyline.
