Boba Fett : A Star Wars Story Not Coming to a Cinema Near You (Anymore)

Is Boba's offspring in the film?

You might remember, a couple of years ago, that the Kanye-of-filmmakers, Josh Trank, was involved in a Boba Fett spin-off movie over at Star Wars central.

Most of us shrugged it off as some kind of pipe dream (since we’ve been hearing about a possible Fett flick since the big guy fell into the monster’s guts back in ’83) but seems the “Chronicle” helmer actually got further along than anticipated.

Over at EW, it’s revealed that Lucasfilm officially hired the “Fantastic Four” director to do the movie and had even assigned him to get a teaser ready to premiere at Star Wars Celebration in 2015.

“At the last minute, the split with Trank backburnered the project,” the outlet reported.

Alas, we might never see a ‘Bobba Fett’ movie – let alone the teaser Trank was working on for it. We will however see a Han Solo spin-off movie, and a Darth Vader-centric flick, “Rogue One”, which hits theaters next month.
