del Toro and Barker producing psychological thriller

Horror Hounds Clive Barker (“Hellraiser”) and Guillermo del Toro (“Hellboy”) will team on “Born”, a new psychological thriller set to star husband-and-wife duo Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly.

Daniel Simpson (who also wrote the film with executive producer Barker and Paul Kaye) will direct the project, which revolves around a couple who settle down in a seemingly idyllic English town to raise a family. Their perfect life is shaken when the husband, a claymation artist, discovers his characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life, says Variety.

Apparently there will be quite a few stop-motion animation sequences in the film.

The pic, which Guillermo del Toro, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin will produce, s the first project to be birthed by Los Angeles-based finance and production shingle ClearVision Media Production Group, which is looking to produce independent features and TV shows.
