Mickey Rourke replaces Nicolas Cage
A former boxer is going to star in “The Wrestler”.
Mickey Rourke has replaced – his old pal – Nicolas Cage in the Darren Aronofsky film of the same name, says Variety.
No word why Cage has left the project, but it’s a shame – I’m sure the film’s going to be much better than anything Harry Hairplugs has done the last couple of years. A nice win for Rourke, though.
The “Sin City” star plays an over-the-hill grappler who returns to the ring for one last shot at glory. Hmmm… how art mirrors life.
