Brad Pitt WWII movie Allied gets awards season release

Paramount Pictures will release Brad Pitt’s World War II romantic thriller “Allied” on November 23.

Marion Cotillard co-stars in the film from director Robert Zemeckis. Steven Knight penned the script.

In the film, Pitt plays an intelligence officer in North Africa in 1942, where he encounters a French Resistance fighter (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.

Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode are also in the cast

Paramount has also sated “Florence Foster Jenkins”, starring Meryl Streep as a delusional opera singer, for August 12.

Meanwhile, its “Ben-Hur” remake has been moved back to August 19.
