Breaking! Ashton Kutcher is the new star of Two and-a-Half Men

Yesterday it was revealed that Hugh Grant was – until the deal went south – up to replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and-a-Half Men”. That was exciting… what isn’t so exciting is who CBS have ultimately scored… Ashton Kutcher.

Deadline says Kutcher, who has made somewhat of a name for himself as a rom-com staple in recent years, made sense for series producer Warner Bros which already had an overall with Kutcher’s Katalyst production banner.

Guessing we can expect a Tweet from both Sheen and Kutcher in the coming hours in relation to the news (Update! : We got one. Kutcher asks “What’s the square root of 6.25?” The answer, of course, is 2 1/2″).

What do you think? Will you watch Kutcher on “Two and-a-Half Men”? … or is the show doomed?
