Upfront Updates : Wonder Woman dead at NBC!

Update! : As I suggested yesterday, “Wonder Woman” is doomed. Deadline confirmed today that David E.Kelley’s reboot of the classic superhero series won’t be going ahead at NBC. The network has also passed on the Don Johnson comeback vehicle “A Mann’s World”, which they say may be shopped to cable networks.

So after all that, NBC’s “Wonder Woman” isn’t the ‘lock’ many said it would be. Apparently the pilot, which stars Adrianne Palicki as the star-spangled heroine, hasn’t impressed the brass all that much and as such, a black cloud is hanging over the highly-publicized project.

On a better note, NBC have decided to go with Whitney Cumming’s new comedy “Whitney”, the Maria Bello-led “Prime Suspect” remake, the Broadway-themed “Smash” from Steven Spielberg and starring Debra Messing, and Christina Applegate starrer “Up All Night”.

While there’s little hope for Ron Moore’s “17th Precinct”, the future of “Playboy Club” and “Grimm”, which are as equally anticipated as the BSG reunion project, have yet to be decided (though all signs point to a pick-up for both).

Breaking! Ashton Kutcher is the new star of Two and-a-Half Men
