“Ma” and “Red Band Society” alum Octavia Spencer looks to join Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds in Apple’s “Spirited”. Sean Anders and John Morris will direct the film, a musical take on Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol”. ”Reynolds will play the Ebenezer Scrooge-like lead who is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.
