Bryan Loves You hitting DVD… no matter what!

Controversial new film gets distribution deal

This interesting bit just arrived in the inbox… thought this was a pretty interesting movie… so give it a look when it hits DVD this Fall..

The North American rights to ”Bryan Loves You”, the horror film critics call “an Orwellian nightmare for the YouTube generation” and “the flick to make you wonder ‘Am I being watched?’”, have been acquired by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The home entertainment release will be this fall.

The true 1993 story of a cult that takes over an Arizona town, Bryan Loves You is written/directed/produced by former newspaper reporter Seth Landau and his Landau Motion Pictures banner and stars Tony Todd (“Candyman”, “The Rock”), George Wendt (“King of the Ants”, Cheers), Tiffany Shepis (“Abominable”, “Ted Bundy”) and features Daniel Roebuck (“The Devil’s Rejects”, Lost), Brinke Stevens (“The Slumber Party Massacre”) and Troma Entertainment’s Lloyd Kaufman.

The NY Post’s Page Six reported a sabotage attempt committed against the film during production in the Phoenix area, where a phony “open call for extras” notice was printed as a news item in statewide editions of The Arizona Republic, the news item including producer emails and shooting location addresses and dates. Later during post-production, footage was stolen from the lab and posted online. Most recently, a threatening video ordering the producers to “STOP!” the movie’s release was sent to the Landau Motion Pictures Los Angeles p.o. box. “We’re not afraid of anonymous mailers and attempts of sabotage. We’re proud of the movie and we stand by it,” says writer/director Landau.

Landau Motion Pictures is giving away one Bryan mask used during filming and one shooting script autographed by cast and crew to commemorate the occasion. To enter the giveaway, post a comment to writer/director Landau’s MySpace page (www.myspace.com/sethjlandau) including in your comment whether you want the mask or script. Two winners will be selected at random this summer. Only those in the U.S. and Canada are eligible to receive the prizes. To see the mask, hit the movie’s homepage,
