Can you Imagine Al Pacino as an ageing rock star!?

Variety is reporting that legendary actor Al Pacino (who seems to be swimming back in the direction of the shore; he’s been lost at sea for a while) is in talks to star as an aging rocker in Warner Bros.’ ”Imagine”, with Dan Fogelman directing.

Fogelman, who wrote the script for such upcoming films like ”Cars 2” and ”Crazy, Stupid, Love” will also write ”Imagine”, marking his directorial debut.

In ”Imagine”, Pacino would play a rocker who decides to change his life after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon — prompting him to track down his biological son, whom he’s never met.

Steve Carell was originally set to star as the rocker’s son but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts but remains a producer.

Recently, Pacino won an Emmy for his role as Jack Kevorkian in ”You Don’t Know Jack”. Back in May, Pacino was announced to star in ”Gotti: Three Generations” as crime family underboss Neil Dellacroce.
