Casting : Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Bateman, Delevigne

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (“The Thing”) is joining Will Smith in the untitled NFL concussion film. The Sony-housed flick will see the former “Lost” star play NFL safety Dave Duerson, a three-time Pro Bowl pick who died in 2011 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. (Deadline)

Jason Bateman will star in and direct “IPO Man”, based on a Wired magazine article about “a man who found a novel commodity for a public offering: himself. It created a host of problems for the actual guy, Mike Merrill, when shareholders demanded control over life decisions like whether or not to have a vasectomy, or even whether he should move in with his longtime girlfriend (and minority shareholder).” The film is set up with Fox Searchlight. (Deadline)

Cara Delevigne (“Anna Karenina”) is reportedly the frontrunner to play Harley Quinn in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” movie. Though the character of Quinn didn’t appear in the initial draft of the script, it’s believed that the famed DC villain will be incorporated into the rewrite that Ayer is doing shortly.
