Crossing Lines (TV)

William Fichtner (“Drive Angry”), Marc Lavoine (”The Good Thief”), Gabriella Pession (”Wilfred”), Tom Wlaschiha (”Game Of Thrones”), Genevieve O’Reilly (”Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge Of The Sith”), Richard Flood (”Titanic: Blood & Steel”) and Donald Sutherland (“The Hunger Games”) are onboard Tandem Communication’s new action/drama TV series “Crossing Lines”. “Created by former Criminal Minds showrunner Ed Bernero”, the show “follows the workings of a special crime unit set up by the International Criminal Court to investigate serialized crimes that cross European borders and to hunt down criminals to bring them to justice.” (Deadline)

The Million Dollar Man

Emmanuelle Chriqui is set for Scott Marshall’s indie sports comedy “Million Dollar Man.” The “Entourage” alum joins Luke Wilson (“Old School”) in the indie sports comedy about “a down-on-his-luck route driver (Wilson) for a soda company who’s given a second chance in life as a football kicker. Chriqui, best known for playing Sloan McQuewick on HBO’s “Entourage,” will play the love interest who helps whip Wilson’s character into shape and guides him to redemption. Also coming aboard is comedian Bobby Lee, who will play the nemesis.” (Variety)

The Green Blade Rises

Jason Clarke (“Brotherhood”) will star in the Terry Malick produced movie about “Tom Lincoln, the father of Abraham Lincoln. The film tells of the formative years of the 16th U.S. president and the hardships that shape him including abandonment by his father in the harsh winter wilderness, a tragedy that marked him forever, and the two women who guided him to immortality.” Diane Kruger plays Tom’s wife, Abe’s mother. Oldboy

Nate Parker (“Red Hook Summer”) is up for a role in Spike Lee’s “Oldboy” remake. “A remake of Chan-wook Park’s Korean revenge thriller, pic stars Josh Brolin as a man who is kidnapped and imprisoned for more than a decade for unknown reasons. Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”) and Sharlto Copley (“District 9″) co-star. Parker is in talks to play a doctor who works with Olsen. Samuel L. Jackson is expected to take on a small but key role as the head of the motel where the protag has been held hostage, who is subsequently tortured for information.” (Variety)

Kick-Ass 2

As hinted at yesterday, Jim Carrey has officially signed on to play ‘The Colonel’ in “Kick-Ass 2 : Balls to the Wall”. (Deadline)

Nicky Deuce

Much of “The Sopranos” cast are regrouping for roles in a new Nickelodeon TV Movie from series castmember Steve Schirripa, who co-wrote and stars. James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola all have parts in the film which “centers on Nicholas Borelli II (Noah Munck), a nerdy, over-protected teen who gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when he is sent to Brooklyn to spend the summer with an uncle (Schirripa) and other members of his Italian American family he never knew he had. Confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem. In a comedic turn, Gandolfini, who shot his role over the weekend, will play Bobby Eggs, a two-bit guy from the neighborhood who gets unintentionally “scrambled” by the young Nicky.” (Deadline)
