Jennifer Lawrence will play biotech entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of the health-technology and medical-laboratory-services company Theranos, in an untitled pitch she and “Big Short” director Adam McKay are in on together.
Holmes, named the richest self-made woman last year until recently allegations her company’s blood tests were in accurate, saw her net worth go from $4.5 billion to zero overnight.
Lawrence will star and produce alongside McKay, who would write and direct the picture. Studios will hear the pitch next week.
Meanwhile, “People vs OJ Simpson” actor Kenneth Choi has boarded “Spider-Man : Homecoming”.
Choi, who also appeared in another Marvel film “Captain America : The First Avenger”, will play the school principal in the Jon Watts directed film.
The actor joins Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton in the 2017 reboot.
Last but not least, Hilary Swank and Katherine Waterston are jumping onto Steven Soderbergh’s heist film “Logan Lucky”.
The duo join Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver, Seth MacFarlane and Riley Keough in the thriller.
Swank plays an FBI agent in the movie.
