Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Olivia Wilde and Brie Larson will star in Peter Bogdanovich’s “Squirrels to the Nuts”, which will be produced by Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach. Bogdanovich wrote the script, ”which follows a hooker-turned-Broadway-thesp (Larson) and the recurring intersection of those two facets of her life. Wilson will play a Broadway director who pays for the young protag’s services despite being married to the star of the play. He later gives Larson’s character money to quit escorting and follow her dreams. Wilde will play a therapist whose own mother is in rehab for alcoholism.” (Variety)

Alycia Debnam-Carey (“The Occult”) will star in director Steven Quale’s (“Final Destination 5”) untitled Tornado pic, previously known as ‘Category 6’. The found-footage film will follows a group of high school teens dealing with the aftermath of a devastating tornado. (Silobreaker)

Kevin Hart (“Think Like A Man”) is in talks to join Kevin James in the Sony comedy “Valet Guys”, about “two valet guys at a high-end hotel who lose a pricey sports car and have 48 hours to retrieve it. Murder is involved and they have to run for their lives.” (Deadline)

Morris Chestnut (“The Cave”) has joined the cast of “Identity Theft”, the new comedy starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy (Tracking Board).

The new Dito Monitel drama “Empire State”, starring Dwayne Johnson and Liam Hemsworth, has added Nikki Reed (“Twilight”), Jerry Ferrara (“Entourage”), Michael Angarano (“The Forbidden Kingdom”), Emma Roberts (“Scream 4”), Paul Ben-Victor (“The Corruptor”), Shenae Grimes (“90210”), Greg Vrotsos (“Parks and Recreation”) and “Three Stooges” star Chris Diamantopoulos. The movie is set in the ’80s and tells of two friends that hatch a plan to rob an armoured car company (Up and Comers).
