Matthew McConaughey (“The Lincoln Lawyer”) will join Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer in Steven Soderbergh’s indie drama “Magic Mike.” Tatum plays a stripper and dancer who takes Alex Pettyfer’s character under his wing and mentors him on how to hustle both on and off the stage. Adam Scott (“Party Down”, “Piranha 3D”) will star in star the Stuart Zicherman directed comedy. ”The title, A.C.O.D., is an acronym for Adult Children of Divorce, and Scott plays a thirty-ish man who was forced at an early age to be the adult of his family when his parents split bitterly. Bill Paxton (“Big Love”, “Tombstone”) will star opposite Kevin Costner in the the History Channel mini-series. The TV event, from “Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves” helmer Kevin Reynolds, tells of ”“Devil” Anse Hatfield (Costner) and Randall McCoy (Paxton). Close friends and comrades during the Civil War, they returned to their neighboring homes — Hatfield in West Virginia, McCoy just across the Tug River border in Kentucky — to increasing tensions, misunderstandings and resentments that soon exploded into all-out warfare between the families. DeWitt will play Stiller’s wife in the film, the story of a “neighborhood watch” group that serves as a front for dads to get some male-bonding time away from their families.
