Casting: Stewart, Leguizamo, Woodard, McGhee

Chanel’s newest campaign model Kristen Stewart is set to star in a film directed by designer Karl Lagerfel for the French house’s next Métiers d’Arts show in Rome on December 1.

The story gives a “fictional, behind-the-scenes look at a yet-to-be-made biopic about founder Gabrielle Chanel” (via WWD).

Stwerat plays “an actress slated to impersonate the designer as a young woman”. Geraldine Chaplin co-stars.

The two-day Paris shoot wrapped last month.

 

John Leguizamo is set to play wild card Ozzy Delvecchio in the second season of “Bloodline”.

Leguizamo will have a series-regular role as Delvecchio “who, in the wake of [Danny Rayburn’s] murder, arrives in the Florida Keys with mysterious motives and threatens to wreak havoc in the lives of the Rayburns” (via TVLine).

 

Alfre Woodard is finalising a deal to join Mike Colter in Marvel’s upcoming series “Luke Cage”.

Woodard will play Minetta, “a powerful woman in local politics who will have an impact on Luke Cage’s life” (via Deadline).

Rumour has it the character could be a version of the Marvel villain Black Mariah.

 

Dancer-choreographer Clifford McGhee has nabbed a guest-starring role on NBC’s comedy “Crowded”.

Created by Suzanne Martin, the show centres on a couple of would-be emptynesters whose plans for some alone time are cancelled when their grown up daughters and other family members descend upon their homestead.

McGhee “will play Ethan, the stepbrother of Patrick Warburton’s Mike” (via Variety).
