Chandor in talks to direct Triple Frontier; Hanks and Smith to star?

The long-gestating “Triple Frontier”, which at one time Kathryn Bigelow was circling, is back on.

“All is Lost” helmer JC Chandor is in early talks to direct the film, written by Mark Boal and housed at Paramount Pics, says Deadline.

The film is said to be set in the organized crime haven that exists in the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.

At one stage, Tom Hanks and Will Smith were interested in doing the film; the outlet says that’s still the case. The duo would fill two of the five main roles believed to be in the movie.

Charles Roven is producing.
