Channing Tatum signs Gambit deal

Channing Tatum has officially closed a deal to star in and produce Fox’s “Gambit” film, despite rumours last week that the star was ready to pull out of the superhero project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Tatum and the studio did hit a sensitive spot in negotiations, but such back-and-forth is a normal part of top-level talent dealmaking”.

Production is set to kick off this October with Rupert Wyatt at the helm.

“Gambit” will open on October 7, 2016.
