One-time Charlie’s Angel Lucy Liu is to play ‘Watson’ in CBS’s new Sherlock Holmes series, “Elementary”.
TV Guide says Liu, recently on the terrific “Southland”, plays Joan Watson, a former surgeon that “is a recovering addict and consultant for the NYPD.” She assists Jonny Lee Miller’s Sherlock Holmes on his various missions.
Anyone else thinking what I’m thinking? : That’s right! By casting a woman in the role of Watson, it’s not so evident that CBS have pinched the idea and blueprint for their modern Sherlock Holmes series from the BBC!
